Genuine Madrid legend, Goyo Benito, is dead.
The Los Blancos made this known in an announcement on its official site on Thursday.
“Genuine Madrid CF, its leader and its Board of Directors profoundly lament the demise of Goyo Benito, one of the incredible legends of our club,” the announcement peruses.
“Genuine Madrid CF needs to communicate its sympathies and its love to his significant other, Paula, his kids, Patricia and Rubén, and to every one of his family members and friends and family.
“Goyo Benito was constantly a case of the estimations of our club. He wore the Real Madrid shirt for thirteen seasons. During this time, since his development in the Real Madrid quarry, he vanquished 6 Leagues and 5 Cups of Spain.
“He had a place with the age of footballers who took over from Real Madrid Yeyé. He played 420 authority matches with Real Madrid and went worldwide with Spain multiple times.
“Genuine Madrid has been next to him consistently in his battle against the ailment he experienced for over 10 years.
“Today, Madrid is grieving in memory of perhaps the best safeguard in our history.”
